4cyl v6 Front differential swap
I have some play at the passenger side on the front dif when wiggling the axle where it bolts to the diff. Figure it can't be normal.. I'm seeing a v6 front diff for sale locally and wonder if it's a direct swap (same hearing)?
Both are 2nd gens, dif comes from a 95 v6 4runner auto, mine a 90 22re 5sp..
Thanks

There's really no way to know what the gearing is without examination of the 3rd members. Several ratios were available.
You might find out what gears the factory installed in both of the trucks by examining their respective vehicle ID plate codes.
Otherwise, the units should be a fairly direct swap. The long side ADD (if equipped) might be swapped with a plain long side tube with the addition of a seal.
All this being said, some flop is almost always found in the short side output stub, and you shouldn't think too much of it, so long as its oil seal remains effective.
