4 wheel drive question may sound silly but.....
Got the body swap done got all the bugs worked out and she runs like a dream. 75mph in 4th gear 2700RPM I cant complain. Now because I had auto hubs and the new truck has the ADD I dont have the electrical connections to attac to the vacuum dohickey. Anything I can do? I read one thread discussing the option of taking the cover off of the front and hoseclamping the fork into the lock position but I am curious if I can wire a swith into my cab and run it to the electical connections on those vacuum dohickeys and use it to engauge the electical portion?

There really isnt any electrical connections to make. Its all vacuum hoses.
Auto hubs were not available on our trucks (only on the 2nd gens). You have ADD (probibly on both trucks). Take a peek at the front diff of each truck, see if they look the same.
p.s, you got an automatic?

you mean 1st gens with ifs??? cause mine came stock with add and i just swapped out the front diff and hubs and called it good well the po did not me and it works really good cant complain

Jay actually the 1990 has manual hubs and the 94 has ADD. There is Electrical connections that come from the unit on the axle to the wiring harness and then on the vacuum deal under the hood there are two electrical connections. The wiring harness that stayed with the 94 has the connectors on it. Guess if it is all vacuum what are the wires for and secons what do I attach the vac lines to to make the front end lock. I have played with a few combinations and still no luck.

You should be able to connect a switch to turn the vacuum solenoids on and off. That is what controls the vacuum to the ADD system. Basically one solenoid engages the ADD and the other disengages it. This is usually done automatically with a relay when 4wd is selected but a simple switch would do the same thing.

Remove the Flanges on the 94 and put the hubs from the 90 on there. That way you can have the best of both worlds. ADD and manual hubs!
