3vze swap, idles fine, but no throttle
I just swapped a 93 long block into a 90 runner. both 3vze. I got it started and running. adjusted the timing, buth the problem is that it will idle at almost 1000rpms, and when I push the throttle I only have a slow response to about 1200. Ive double checked all my vacuum lines and electrical connections. Is there anyone else who has had the same problem or would know what to do. I've been messing with it all day. Thanks also I apologize if there is alread a thread like this but I have not been able to find it

Make sure the VAFM is plugged in. When you removed it, did you take the screws out or did you pop the pin out to pull the plug?
If you took the screws out, you've buggered it~

I just bought new intake hoses today, had a leak in one thought it might be the problem. but no, I unpluged it. did not touch the screws. With the TPS plugged in i can get to about 3000 rpms. but there is no throttle response time. checked the tps and afm both are fine. have checked mulitpl times for loose/leaking vacuum lines and loose or not plugged in plugs. cant figure this out... everything ran fine before the swap. the engine runs and sounds good I just cant get any power/rpms/throttle response. push the throttle and slowly revs up to limited rpms. also I took it down the street (at 1000 rpms) but when shifted into drive I can only get 1000, in neutral I can squeeze 2500. Frustrated

Test your throttle position sensor:

You said you checked it but the ECU is throwing a TPS code. Could also be the wiring.
