3VZE stumble / cut out at highway speeds.

Hi everyone!
Hey I am having some trouble with my 1994 3VZE 4runner recently.
It generally runs and idles great but within the last week I have noticed on the highway that it briefly cuts out. I mean briefly too, like for a split second and you can feel the truck buck, or jerk, shudder, slightly from the loss of power. When it's doing it the stumble happens about every 10 to 15 seconds.
I've been trying to research it online but I am having trouble wording it as it seems like the truck skips a heartbeat briefly.
I have noticed it seems to be only when under load.
It logs no codes.
I have not noticed the dash lights flicker when it happens but I may have been missing it as it is so quick.
February I did a drivers side headgasket on it, full tune up, and replaced a defective fuel regulator with new. And did the ground wire update. Since then it has been running perfect with the exception of the recent cutting out.
It never stalls, and has great power. As quick as this stumble is I'm thinking it's too fast to be a fuel pump, and am leaning more towards ignitor or coil?
Any thoughts?
Thanks. Chris

It's the distributor. Even if it passes inspection, ohms and air gap, replacement will solve the issue. I've been through it with both my 3VZ-Es now. One distributor passed, the other didn't(ohms too high), both needed replaced regardless. Go ahead and waste your time replacing the cap and rotor only. But don't be too surprised if that don't fix it. Or any other fool thing you try. Trust me. I wasted plenty of time myself trying every other thing possible. Then after replacing the distributor that tested bad fixed the problem on the one engine, I did the same to the one that tested good on the other. No more hiccups from either one!

Well...from the one that's presently still running at least. But that's besides the point...

Anywho....that's what I'd do.

Good luck!
