I'm looking for a new air intake hose for my 88 4runner w/ 3vze. I'm looking for the hose that connects to the throttle body. The part number listed on the one i have now is 17881-65010. I can find this part at one place online and it's $101.00, but i can find the part 17881-65011 which is for 1989+ 4runners w/ 3vze for $50.00. I was wondering if this part will work for mine too so i can save $50.

mine was cracked the other day and I had to replace. I went to autozone and picked up a spectre universal aluminum intake tube for like $40. It is a 3" tube with a 60degree bend. Hacksawed it to size and mounted it in place of the stock tube and air silencer. I'll get you a pic tomorrow, works great.

i think i have my stock one somewhere... i also have an ISR mod that i may sell. let me look around

do the isr mod. its better and cleans up the engine bay. plus its like 20-40 bucks. save some money for gas :]

I needed one of those too for my 1991 4runner with the 3.0, I special ordered it from checker (may be called shucks or kragen near you) for 40 dollars. I asked for part number 696703, but it might not work on an 88. I think its a part number they assigned to it or something. You might wanna try www.partsamerica.com you can order it from there or through a checker/shucks/kragen.

i ended up getting one for an 89+ from thepartsbin.com and it fit perfectly. no different than an 88. paid $40 for it.
