3vze 5 speed swap issue! A/T oil temp light
Recently, I was driving and my 92 pickup just shuts off. A/T oil temp light comes on, the thing is it’s now converted from a automatic to a 5speed. I bought it from a friend so I didn’t do the swap, he told me it’s never done it to him. If anyone had this issue or could give me any tips, it would be great. Thanks!

Your truck Shut off!!
Has it started since or was it towed home ?
Now it just sits there dead ??
Cranks but will not start ?? Starts and runs but shuts off at random??
Now who knows just what was done with the old harness from the Automatic transmission because the sensor in the transmission is long gone so some how that light is getting system voltage when it should not.
Did your ECU get soaked water and large voltage spikes about the only way the ECU gets damaged .
Physical damage to the wires ?
The more of the problem we know the easier it is to help from far away

Is it possible another circuit is grounding through the trans temp light ??Making it look like it is on?

Swapped the alternator and now she runs good. Well it was running good, I have another problem to fix now, head gasket is no good. I found some copper looking flakes in the radiator, looks like he poured some of that head gasket sealer. 😑 I found a 3.4, just gonna swap it and do away with the 3.0.
