No.
The ORS harness connects the stock body harness with the 3.4 engine harness and ECU so all the bits are speaking the same language on the correct channels.

Sounds like from the engine to the 3.4 ecu is easy. Does the 3.4 ecu bolt up where the old 3.0 ecu was? So if a person does not use the ORS harness there is a lot of splicing to do from the 3.4 ecu to the stock body harness?

If your going to swap in a 3.4 you need the entire harness, and ecu from that 3.4. You can't use the 3.0 harness at all. Yes you can mount the 3.4 ecu in the same general area as 3.0.
EDIT: USE THE YELLOW FLASHING SEARCH BUTTON, IT'S YOUR FRIEND. THERE ARE MANY MANY THREADS ON THE 3.4 SWAP, ALONG WITH OTHER MOTOR SWAPS.

I found the 3.4 and it has the engine wiring harness but the ECU is not with it. this is at a salvage yard. The engine is already out of the vehicle. So I will need to have them ID the engine and get an ECU that will work with it. It may not be the exact ECU that came with the donor truck but hopefully they will have one on hand.
Thanks for all of the help. I read one of ORS articles and it sounds like if I get an older 3.4 I may not have to move the dipstick. Does anyone know anything about that?
