22re Oil Level gauge not working!
Okk so, I bought a 1991 Pickup with a 22re and just did my oil change and put some 5w30 semi-synthetic oil because it can get pretty cold over here (-30 C), the thing is before the oil change, my oil level gauge was working but after I changed the oil its not working at all anymore, gauge stays at Low even tho I checked with the oil dipstick and it reads full... I don't know what oil the previous owner was running..
Anyone might know what is happening here?
Ty!

Uh, it's not an oil LEVEL gauge it's an oil PRESSURE gauge.
Pressure should increase as the rev's increase.
You may have knocked the wire to the sending unit off when you changed the filter.

Marc is correct. The sender (with wires coming out of it) are next to the oil filter, so there is a possibility you knocked a wire loose. there is a mud/dirt boot on top of it - lightly pull it back to check (or it may have disappeared over the years lol).
Good luck!
