22re idle air control valve

hi im new here. i have a 94 pickup with the 22re, i just dropped a rebuilt 22re in it. im havin problems hookin up the air valve underneath the air intake chamber (plenum). first of all i cant fine a connector on my harness for the connector on the back of it. secondly the hose comin off the left side of it, where does that hook up? my truck is a 94 the engine is a 92, not sure if that matters, but i kno i had to switch out injectors and vsv cuz the connectors on my harness didnt match up.

Are you talking about the PAIR valve? It's just below the fuel filter.
Have a picture?

I recently worked on my 91, should be the same as the 92 and 94 and don't remember an electrical connection to the air valve below the throttle body. Just electrical connections to the cold-start time switch and coolant temp sensors at the front of the manifold and PAIR valve and coolant temp gauge sender.

An engine swap between the years you're describing should be a simple swap, but may have problems if you're bringing the intake and exhaust from the donor vehicle in to your vehicle.
Point being that if you're swapping in a long-block assembly, everything you had in the truck will bolt / connect to the new long block without issue. If the donor had connections on the ancillary devices that your's does not, you will have problems.
