22RE Distributor and EFI gas tank ident. =p
Was the 22RE distributor same from 86-95?
I'm trying to finish up putting together the parts for my EFI Conversion on my 87 22r. So far I'm only missing the intake (thinkn ill do the short intake to the battery) AFM, ECU, a 22RE Distributor, EFI fuel tank or inline pump.
Does anyone know how to identify an EFI fuel tank? This 87 frame I got came with the tank but I dont know if it had the 22r or 22re...
thanks!! =)

Ya they are the same. I took a 89 (model year change) and put it on an 88 with no problem. I have a 88 pickup 4X4 Manual, ECU, AFM and distributor for sale.

No, they're NOT the same. 85+ 22re distributors are controlled by the computer via a connector. 22r distributors are controlled via vacuum advance.
However, 83 and 84 22re's are controlled by vacuum advance. Just thought I'd throw that in for more confusion
