Go to napa and tell them you need a Heilicoil. They'll point you in the right direction.

1:38 AM? Wow. On my 94, the exaust manifold has studs and nuts, not bolts. Does your header attach with bolts? If studs, is the stud cross threaded into the block or is the nut cross threaded? If it is the nut, you can replace it. If the nut end of the stud, you can replace the stud, though you may have to remove the header and or use a pipe wrench to get the stud off.

Try putting in a longer bolt. I have had this problem with the same hole on two trucks now. I just put a longer bolt in as the threads are still good deep in the hole. I have also put in a different thread (course) bolt and took it easy. It is an Aluminum head so it is easy to strip but also easy to cut new threads with a bolt:D .

get the right size tap, and be careful and patient!!!

i would try the longer bolt first..easier and cheaper.....if not you can put a helicoil in, a little more expensive and time consuming but it would be the best way to fix this problem for good
