Angry 22R STILL not running... SO confused...WTF??

OK, so my truck's been down for over a month now, partly because I've not had time to work on it. That's beside the point, though... when it first quit running, I posted here as to what might be the cause. Didn't get a ton of answers, but am 99% sure it's not getting any spark. I started at the plugs and have worked my way to the battery, replacing everything except the dist. cap and rotor (1 year old) and the wiring on the whole damn truck. I've checked all the grounds that I can find, it's getting fuel, turning over, etc... just not firing.

Does ANYBODY have ANY idea WTF is going on?? I'm about at wits end with it and it's pissing me off!! Thanks in advance for ANY suggestions you might have!!

what i would do is.

1. pull plug wire off have friend look for spark while you turn it over!

2.if no spark is gettin to the plug then pull coil wire off at the dist. check for spark there!

3. if your not getting any spark there then i would say it is your coil/ignitor assembly or the wiring leading to it.

Also, check those big blocky fuses in the fuse box on the passenger side wheel well. I accidentally shorted my truck out and I got no spark from anywhere. And I checked the fuses except those and I replaced the coil and everything only to find out that the $3 fuse had blown. It's pink and is 30amps...good luck!

Have you have checked your fuses ?, if they are all good, then the only other things i can think of are ignitor, coil, pick up coil, and possibly the ignition switch.

I did ALL of that, including installing a different igniter assembly, and still nothing. I rechecked it all today and it's still dead.

I checked the fuses, too, but NOT the big ones... I'll do that in a bit.

Thanks for all the suggestions! If the fuse isn't the culprit, it's going to my mechanic... he owes me an hour of labor anyway... lol

lol...I just noticed yours isn't FI for some reason. I don't know if that matters about the fuse but it just might.

No offense, but are you grounding the spark plug when checking for spark?

Your truck is carbed ?, i didn`t catch that part. Try this, pour some gas down the carb and see if it trys to start, if it does try and start then i would check the fuel cut solinoid on the carb, if it goes bad your truck won`t start at all. what this part does is shut the fuel off going through part of the carb.
