22r egr leak?
 

I have an 86 2wd pickup/carb/auto trans, that has a leak which I think is coming from the egr area. The engine is new so all gaskets are new no sealer or rtv on gaskets. Thought the rear main was installed wrong so took the trans out and no leaks to be seen. Next I put some black rtv on the half moon plug but still leaks. Noticed today that oil was on the bolts holding the egr on. They seem tight so what do you think? Should I install a stud into the bolt that goes into the head or put some type of sealant on the bolts. How long are the bolts suppose to be, maybe I put the wrong ones in?


Also since reinstalling the trans at idle it seems like there is a vacuum leak or something. Doesn't idle right but with throttle and at highway speed runs great. I'm going out of my mind here so any help would be great.
