22R Dipstick tube Removal/Re Install
looking at my rebuilt engine i realized, it doesn't have a dipstick installed, so i added that to my list of stuff to bring over from the old engine my question is, how do i remove the dipstick tube, do i just vice grip and pull or do i have to pop the pan off and do something there.

you can do the above, its just a pressure fit. or I think you can get to it from the underside and push it out with a punch or bolt...
probably won't go back in as snug as it came out so some RTV to seal it is a good idea. Mine didnt fit back in the same as it came out, machine shop took it out tho =/
