2 quick, possibly blasphemous suspension/tire questions
Hi, new to the forum. Just got a '91 4Runner SR5 V6 5 speed. I like it a lot. Got a couple quick questions though. I've been perusing the local craigslist in search of stuff to do to my new toy, and found two things.
First off, there's a guy with a bunch of free jeep cherokee parts, including suspension stuff. My 4Runner has two different shocks on the front, and I'm not too sure as to the condition of the ones on the back. I'm wondering if the jeep ones would work for a bit, until I can afford better ones. The truck used to have adjustable ranchos on it, from the remote adjuster setup under the dash. I'm hoping to get those back on it eventually....
Also, another person's got 33" all terrains, but only two of 'em. They're $45 for both...will these fit on my essentially stock vehicle, or do you need a lift to clear the fenders?
Thanks!

Can't help you with the jeep parts.
You'll need 2 more tires, and the biggest issue will be the width of the tires.
33x10.50 will fit just fine on stock rims, 33x12.50 will rub quite a lot.

Haha, unfortunately the tires are 33x12.5, so I guess that's a no-go. Oh well...
What am I measuring as far as the shocks go, and what sort of measurement am I looking for?
On a side note, it appears I've got pretty much everything for the Rancho adjustable setup, there's a nifty deal under the dash with two guages from 1-5, a big red button, a switch and two smaller buttons. When I push the red button, a little compressor starts up under the hood. Any idea where I might find the shocks to go with this?
