1994 Toyota 4x4 Hilux Pickup Standard Cab
Hi folks, I just picked up this truck and am starting to experience the Toyota world!
I was looking for a couple of updates for the truck and hoping anyone can lead me in the right direction.
First, the seat belts that come up out of the bench seat are laying down. Finding it very hard to connect together. This issue is due to the vinyl molded wrap that surrounds the actual belt is cracked, likely due to flexing over time. It does not stand up making it easy to plug into.
Options are if anyone has any good way to fix the existing vinyl wrap or some other way to make it stand up....no jokes......
Or, would have to find a new seat belt and not sure what options are there either. Not finding anything online easy enough. Not sure a dealer can get one either for this age of vehicle.
Then, wondering if I could either get a seat upgrade to something a bit more comfortable that would not take much retrofit. I do like the bench seat in this small of a cab, so that is ok by me, but the back is not adjustable so I find myself leaning too far back for comfort. Contemplating on adding some shims/washers to back bolts in floor to elevate the back up some and this would pitch the seat more forward.
Anyhow, just throwing these thoughts out there for ideas/suggestions/experiences.....

Just add manual hubs and remove the add system I had the same issue and realized that the add system isn't that good to begin with and manual hubs are 50 dollars if you get cheap ones and a hose clamp.

What? I didn’t see him mention any 4wd issues just a seat belt and seat position issue.
