Hi folks, I`ve got a 1994 dlx 4x4. 5 speed. 3.slow v6. not manual locking hubs. About a month ago I was driving and started hearing a noise coming from left front. It sounds like a rubbing noise when im driving but when braking it turns into a clunking noise and almost feels like it wants to hop and I feel it in the brake pedal. The pulse and noise is consistent. When braking from 100km/h its very noticeable and it also pulls to the right(possibly alignment). The rotors are slightly warped but not enough to be concerned about. No play at any of the wheel bearings. New tires last year( stock size. bfg all terrains). I did find excessive play in my cv axle shaft both up/down and in/out. So I removed the tire and hub cap and found the C clip near the end of the shaft was not in its groove. Put everything back together and still have same issue. Maybe somthing worn out from the excessive play? Also have a worn lower ball joint. Any help appreciated.
