1992 pickup 22re boggy
First thanks to all that have created this site. I have found it very useful for other Toyota issues. I have a 1992 Toyota Pickup 22re with a new motor 25k ago. The truck itself has 270k on it. Recently driving I have experienced that under acceleration the truck has a boggy throttle when I depress the pedal. It's just like someone reached over and turned the key off. If I pump the gas pedal when this is happening it usually bucks and jerks. However, if this is occurring and I depress the clutch pedal and rev the motor, it will rev up just fine and idle perfectly fine too.
This only happens when under acceleration. Checked the MAF, TPS settings mentioned by 4 crawler and both tests show normal results.
Right now, I am thinking that it may be a weakening fuel pump as I only experience this under acceleration, and the pump has 270k on it. Fuel filter has 25k on it. Is there something else that may be causing this? Any insights would be much appreciated, and I have read about every recent thread on this site too.
