1991 V6 water outlet bolts.....help!
I have a 1991 SR5 V6 3.0 4x4 Pick up extra cab.
I was replacing the water outlet and I broke one of the bolts on it. What is
going to be my best route to fix this. I noticed the the bolt has a "hex" type
head on it. Can it be un-screwed and replaced? Or I'm I going to have to
drill it and tap it?
Thanks

post a pic so we can see what your dealing with. You could probably jam nut it maybe or drill it out and im sure you can get a new one (dealer)

Try an EZ out.
Maybe try some heat.
Drill and tap it.
I forget how much room there is around there. If there is enough room, drill and tap will probably be the easiest.

Did it snap flush? The hex head on it is actually an inverted torx used during assembly. Yes, they can be removed. They're held in with a bit of sealant. If you can still grip it, then Vice-Grips clamped as hard as you can has always worked for me. Work the stud back-and-forth to break up the sealant.
