the ecu out of a 04 tacoma wouldnt happen to be the same as my 1996 4runner would it? its the same engine.

come on guys?

well n e way i ordered my engine rebuild kit today! and i found a guy that i think might have my ecu but i really! need to know the part number off of it because he has noooooo clue what the heck it is! haha so come on guys i need help getting this show on the road!

i don't believe so...it'd be like putting a 95 3VZ into a 91 or later 4runner or pickup..same motor..but lots of sensors were changed and small things like that.

ok. i managed to finally get my axle together. oh and this took forever!







if you havent noticed, all of my pictures are cell phone pictures so sorry about the crappiness!

the axle housing and knuckles are going to powder coat tomorrow, along with my intake manifold for my 3.4 and valve covers!

Powder coating the whole axle? Just remember to remove anything that won't take the bake.

yeah, my guy does axles, and stuff like this all of the time so he knows exactly what to cover and stuff. he's really goo, hes like THE powdercoater down here, noone does as good a job.

Wish my oven was big enough to do axles. I got a brand new front axle that would look bling a nice WabFab blue.

brought my axle, knuckles, intake manifold, and valve covers to powder coat today around lunch! cant wait to get them back. i will take pictures with a good camera to show you all!

just to kind of show yall where i get to do all of my stuff. this is about half of the 4x4 side of my dads business. you can see 2 lifts and the 1980 chevy 1/2 ton that i am also building. there are 2 more buildings that consist of the store front and audio bays but this is the relevant part for now haha.



and this is that 1/2 ton truck that isnt really a half ton anymore. its on 42's because the 47 ltb couldnt be gotten at the time. i dont get to work on it too often.

yesterday i brought my engine to toyota to get rebuilt. i have a mechanic friend over there who is going to do it in between jobs and before and after work. by the end of the week it should be ready to run!

ok besides the fact that my engine is a big paperweight that has a rusted cylinder, ALL OF MY POWDER COATED PARTS ARE IN! and i will be taking pictures with a good camera tomorrow!

sweet truck i just picked up a solid axle and another rear out of an 86 yota for $175 couldnt pass it up hoping to do the swap next year

i have a my long inner axle has a c-clip that comes off when i try to tap my inner into the housing. what the hell do i do?

i should have my axle together but while i was assembling my cousin came to the shop with 1999 toyota tacoma and a passenger wheel bearing problem so i had to change that...
