1988 Toyota Pickup 22re ac R134 adaptor that came in the conversion kit
Is not at correct angle...can't add freon to my system....no room for hookup Is there an aftermarket adaptor that will work? Thanks! |

It's my bosses truck The Schrader valve on top of the compressor, when the aluminum adaptor is screwed onto it, there is no water to get the freon hose connector onto it, no room above I think I can lookup the kit he purchased and post a picture of it and the compressor from another 22re That will give an idea of what tight spaces there is |

Get yourself some 90 Degree adapters you will be good to go
I wish you luck without gauges and a Vacuum pump I am guessing you have not checked for leaks ?? |

That is pretty tight, mine must not be stock, my valves point forward.

Yep that's an 88 compressor. You need to get 90 degree fittings like Wyoming said. Also 85-87 compressors had schrader valves pointed forward and the hoses both coming out of the passenger side of the compressor. This was changed in 88 due to the air injection system being in the way of the suction hose that's why the Schrader valve is pointed rearward and the hose comes out of the front.
