1988 22RE Running Rough
I'm having problems troubleshooting my 22RE. It idles fine but when I drive it for approx. 5 minutes it starts acting like it's misfiring and runs rough when I give it some throttle.
I have replaced the cap, rotor, plug wires and plugs. I checked the plugs and they were do for replacement, so I just changed it all. I live 13 miles from work and barely made it home Friday. It started out fine but got worse the more I drove it. By the time I got home it was spitting and sputtering like it wanted to stall. I let it idle once I got parked to see if it would stall but it idled fine.
I do have an exhaust manifold leak (very minor) and even with that it never ran this rough.
I have also checked all fluid levels just in case of a bad headgasket.
Any thoughts would surely be appreciated.
