Guys I have/had a 1984 Toyota 4x4 factory diesel. It was rusted away to nothing. But it had 117,000 original miles and runs like a swiss time piece. I bought a 1987 excellent shape cab and chassy 4x4. I pulled the cab and took the 22rre out and installed the entire drive train from the diesel yot into it. I put the cab back on and gutted the inside to install the complete factory diesel harness and gauges. I've completed the engine and tranny install. Everything is hooked up, power steering, fuel lines, etc etc....I'm waiting on the new fuel tank, timing belt kit, so I'm now buttoning up small stuff inside. I labeled a lot of the original harness but some of the stickies fell off. this is where I need help.......... at the steering column. I have 3 plugs, 2 wide ones and a small one with 2 green wires. Can anyone tell me the colors of the plug going into this one as I have 2 off the main harness that will plug into it and the stickys are gone off both. Now the column side is a black plastic plug...... out of the main harness I have a black plastic and a white plastic plug. but neither have matching colored wires exactly as the column plug. I have pictures and will post up. Thanks in advance......Im hoping to build a fire in her engine this weekend not burn it down......... first picture is the ignition harness, the other 2 pictures are main harness connectors. anyone tell me which one plugs to ignition and where the other one goes

Did I post this in the wrong place. Not a soul has a schematic or could look at their Column for me.

1984 diesel wiring harness is pretty oddball, you aren't going to see too many people that have a rig like that.

are all of the plugs in the photos from the diesel harness, or are you mixing part diesel harness plugs with perhaps the back half of the '87 harness plugs?

The columns are identical. My problem is there is 2 plugs in the main harness that will plug into the plug on the column. But neither plug have identical colored wires that match the wires in the column. Even a schematic doesn't help cause it doesn't show the column harness. I'm just hoping some one will look at the base of their column for me and tell me what color wires plug into their column harness.
