1986 Xtra cab stock shifter knob?
I was wondering if anyone has a picture of an original 86 shifter knob.

I don't think that's the original.

It's big round and has a metal plaque glued to the top that has 4-speed and or 5-speed shifting pattern and screws on and off, just look through interior pics, here if parts pic of the side, a new one is $43.73 on toyotapartszone.com.

sounds like a Tercel knob.
And are you talking the transmission shifter or the transfer case shifter? John4wd is talking about the transmission shifter.

Go to the web site and enter your vin number in the blue box on the right side "search parts by vin".
On next page on left side under section click on powertrain/chassis.
In the next box on the list click on shift lever & retainer.
Next box click on blue link on upper left and a box will pop up.
click on the another link and a box with a pic of shift lever will come up and give you a 5 numbers and then search that five numbers in the previous box that has the blue link above all the parts list and that'll give you the factory parts number to take to dealer. Easy to use and give you a ballpark of a dealer price, Good luck ;}
Ps. if you find a used one in salvage yard usually the metal plaque with shifting pattern has come off, newer ones from other toys has the shift pattern in the plastic so can't come off but from wear... Older ones are big and round newer ones are not as big around and are longer/taller.
I like the older shirter knobs, Gives you something big to grab on too, like a good plump women, not obese just alittle extra in the right places!!!!
