In your first post, you said the CEL flashed every 4.5 sec? Is that a typo? Should be like every .5 sec. Just caught my eye. Check the coolant temp sensor? Sounds like it starts after going closed loop mode. So as its warming up, it starts having the issue. I had a similar issue, not that bad, turns out my nasty TB and a crappy leaking TB gasket were the main issue. Couldn't see or hear it, and it didn't leak at idle. Never idled up with a propane torch. Just a thought.
