1985/1986 fsm how close? OOPS

Well I paid for and downloaded n FSM for my 86 4runner. I was all proud of myself and printed all 1025 pages. When I really looked at the front it says 1985. In my email the seller said 86 so I didn't pay attention to the front. If it will work great if not I'll get on him and have him send me the 86 and I'll have an 85 for cheap. lol

Well, the main difference would be the SFA instead of the IFS stuff.

I use my 85 manual for my 86 and 88 trucks. Just like rattlewagon said, other then the front axle, everything is about the same. It will work for everything you need.

Slight differences in schematics and minor parts.
Mechanical may be almost same, like mentioned above.
However, if still possible to get a 1986, to eliminate any doubts and save you from having to verify each time you use a section of the schematic, why not ask for the correct one?

Red face

The EWD`s can be quite different as far as wire colors pin outs on the ECU.

The mechanical is pretty much the same.

It must have taken a while and lots of paper to print that out.

Yes as far as the paper. It is 1025 pages but luckily I hit the right button and printed both sides. Lol. but still big enough to use as a tire chalk if nothing else. Lol.
