dont have a pic, but i once when i was wheelin, i saw a bunch of mexicans drivin a ford with a tree log for a front axle. they said that they broke the original axle, so they put a tree log on there to get them home. i have no idea how it worked, but obviously it did....

na.. my moms expedition has A-Arms. and all the ford front axles ive seen do look like logs, except their painted. the log on the mexicans' truck was still bleedin sap..

the diff is filled with 30 weight maple syrup on fords.

I call bs on the log front axle as a trail "repair" you might beable to make it work if you had lots of time in a shop with are your tools but how in the world would they keep the axle under the truck?
