Weber jetting

Hi again from the UK . I need some help with jetting a Weber carb for my 4Runner . I am stuck with a no go Runner at the moment because the factory carb is bust . In the UK there were Weber kits available to convert , but these are no longer about . Our Hilux pick ups and my 4Runner use the same 4Y engine so I can get most info . I see you in the USA fit a Weber 32/36 DGV carb as a replacement , I have one of these but dont know what jets to fit . I know you have the 20R and 22R which are the same engine size so I hope the jets would be the same for the 4Y which is 2200cc .
Thanks if you can help .

actually, the 20R is 2189cc, the 22R is 2367cc :hillbill:

generally 9 out of 10 people just slap on the weber and go. the other person is smart and changes the jets out. for the most part, the stock 32/36 jets are a bit on the small side for these engines. buy an assortment of jets(there's kits available with appropriate 4 cylinder engine sizes), and look online, there's quite a few tips and tutorials. a local race shop may also be able to help.

Yeah , wot I meant woz that they are the same engine cc as UK . Thanks for info . I want to fit this Weber but dont want to run lean and hole a piston or burn out a valve .
The 20R would be the best jet set up for mine if anyone can let me know . I have jet settings for a Ford Cortina Pinto 2000cc running a Weber 32/36 DGV so not far from wot I think I need to run richer ?
