Swapping front and rear drive shafts?

Ok, so I'm still deployed until around halloween. With that said, I can't go out and experiment or go look at stuff. Here's my questions though:

So after I lift my truck, I want to make a square front shaft with single u-joints and a double cardan in the rear. If it's not obvious, I want the double cardan in the rear so I can rotate the axle toward the transfer case. I also would like to keep my caster angle decent, so this route seems to make most sense.

Soo, could I just remove my front shaft and have it lengthened, and take my rear off and chop it up for a square shaft? Also, would I be able to swap the flanges on the transfer so I wouldn't have to get new ones or drill mine?

I've don't alot of looking around, but I can't find anyone who did it this way. What's the down sides and would there be any other suggestions?

Thanks

The front shaft is a smaller tube... Besides that no one runs double cardans on the back because you don't need too.

Folks typically just redo the spring perches or you can use shims. Rotate the axle so the driveline is parallel with the third member... Add a degree or two past if you're using new springs otherwise once they settle you'll develop a vibration as the angle of the third will change.

The flanges are the same on the differentials front rear and tcase.

Your front shaft may just need a long spline kit. The original factory double cardans used on solid axle yotes has a good clearance... Ie it'll operate at steep angles already unlike the IFS shafts that don't bend for shiz.

That's the route I would go. Long spline kit
