Swapping Factory AC From 86 to Non-AC 85

Hey Guys, I have a 1986 22R donor that has the factory AC that I want to swap over to my 22RE 85 that has no AC. I've been searching everywhere and can't find a step-by-step guide, only brief non-detailed explanations.

Does anyone have a write-up bookmarked somewhere?

From what I gather, I have to cut 2 holes in the firewall for the condenser and compressor, then swap everything over (condenser, compressor, dryer, evap box, etc.) Something I've noticed though, is that my 85 doesn't have the plugs that go from the compressor pulley area to the harness/battery in the engine bay. Has anyone had a similar issue? The FSM has been helping somewhat with how to go about removing the system.

I don't know all that much about AC systems, so do I have to discharge it before removing? Or will I get ˟˟˟˟ everywhere if I simply start taking it apart.

Thanks!

Discharge it or wear it. Unless you can discharge it properly and safely neither is a good option.
