rentedmule's 84 xtracab - pics

Hey all,
I finally got around to scanning some pics of the '84 xtracab I had about 12 years ago. It was bought with the lift so I don't know exactly what's on it. it definately had both a body lift and suspension work. I bought it with the standard fleetside box and after it rotted out I replaced it with the fiberglas flareside in the pic and added the custom rear bumper. the rear end was super light, I could lift the back off the ground using the bumper as a squat bar and I'm not a big guy!

I ran 33x12.5's and it had definately been regeared, it had quite a bit of low speed grunt for a stock 22r. My tastes have changed a bit since then (I was 17 when I had it) so if i had it now I'd probably ditch the light bar, headlight covers, and cheesy orange shock boots but it's a bit late for that now :) !.

Alas, I beat the crap out of it over about 4 years racing (on a closed road) with friends and eventually the frame broke (a bunch of times actually!). I finally got tired of fixing it and it was patched up and sold to a loving family! :hillbill:

Thanks! Unfortunately, I didn't really appreciate what I had at the time, I should have hung on to it! oh well, that's a good excuse to find another one and build it like i want it :)
