Wow @CNC85 that looks great! Your "before and after" looks backwards - Left looks like the day it left the factory... right looks like 34 years later. Nice job turning back the clock.

I just got my 2nd solid axle Toyota, an 85 4Runner with 224,779 miles and a bad engine that needs a full rebuild.
Price? Free, just had to get it off the guys property by the 1st which I had no problem with thanks to AAA.
It needs a lot and I can and will do all of the work except the cylinder boring.
Neglect is a horrible thing and this poor Runner was neglected for the past 10 years, no more.

I like the rear bumper. Did you fabricate yourself, or buy somewhere?

85 xtra cab DLX 4x4. Lifted 6 inches sitting on 33s currently. As far as rust goes its pretty much completely clean, and the engine runs flawlessly. Im just trying to figure out an issue it is having with the transmission or possibly the clutch.
