just contacted a buddy i grew up with (he works at a small salvage yard) they just got a 84 x cab in with a manual tranny. so if the auto tranny is toast we have a whole donor vehicle (just need to find a new ecu).

picked up a good running 22re today. will start re-gasketing it tomorrow and will be dropping it in w/in the week.

here is a shot of the motor, i will post a pict of it in the truck later. it fired up and ran great (minus the fuel pump was seized up so we swapped it for a good one we had around.
