just some stuff i got done

removed gas tank
returned frame to original design
added bumper
got a winch(needs work)
got 4 new lights
painted the rear of the cab
installed a cb radio
fixed the roll bar
re-wired rollbar lights.

still waiting on my bushing set that i ordered back on the 3rd and my patch pannle that i ordered two weeks ago. both should have been here by now and i am starting to get mad. because its holding up my progress. how am i suposed to put the bed and stuff on without the stuff to fix it?

hey here are some pic of the work i di not all are online yet but i will try.
my original lights rewired and redy to go on

the original tube going across the frame was replaced with angle iorn

so i returned it to stock

here is the bed waiting for my patch pannels to arive from jcwhitney i cleaned it up and took all the rust off and shot it with primer

dont look at the left side of this pic it got messed up but on the right you see what i was trying to show you a crack in the underside of the frame.

here are some other lights i got and plan on puting two on the front bumper what do ya think?

ok here is the cb radio i installed it took a lot of cutting and drilling makeing brackets to hlod it in place and make it fit but it works.

here is the winch i got for 40$. needs some work but still a good deal

here i am with my pride and joy in the new car tent so we nolonger need to wait for weather

self explanitory

and heres the most important mod of all

like i said i have more pics and will try to get them to work but i am getting a lot done now that i'm grouned for a month.

Being grounded for a month has its upsides! Nice job, makes me wish I didn't sell my '84 a couple of years ago.

i started with the crack in the frame. i cut and cleaned all the rust away and welded in a piece of angle iorn to streangthen it. now when i get home i just need to grind it up and weld some more and get some undercoating on it.

Its about damn time you update ... Just wait till you put that undercoating on it'll give it a nice clean look, I finally got the floor of my Runner coated a few times and it makes such a difference. It gives you that feeling your actually accomplishing something.

**Then you remeber all the other ลลลล you have to get done

Nice build man. You cleaned the bed up really good. Thats what i'm hoping mine looks like when i get done with it. What color do you plan on painting the truck when it's done?

well the bed is not as clean as it looks in the pics but its getting better. also i got an email from JCwhitney saying my shipment might be delayed because their shipper declared bankrupcy and i dont know whats up with my bushing set

as far as the paint goes i have no clue what its gonna be yet. i just cant decide. my friends all want me to get it black. my dad says keep it white and i am thinking about maybe a desert tan???? so any input on what you guys think would be appretiated.

UPDATE:
i just finished welding up the supports for the frame and will post pics tomarow. i have never did so much fab work in my life. well at least its got support now and i can move on to other stuff.

Damn that sucks about the shipment... About the paint job I recommend any kind of rattle can, its easier to cover up rock rash, chips, scuffs and scratches by branches. If you get some kind of paint job done they'll put a clear coat on it and you won't be able to touch it up everytime something 'stupid' happens ... Thus why mines camo

yeah that is true but i can just imagine me and a couple friends and about 30 spraycans and my truck ending up looking like ลลลล. my friend knows a kid that works at macco so i might be able to get a good deal.

UPDATE: my patch pannels arrived this morning to bad its raining and the bed is out on the front lawn.

I agree with the rattle can idea. As soon as I get mine back together, I'm gonna camo it. It's easy and a quick fix when it gets scratched. If you're gonna be doing some serious offroading with it, you obviously dont plan on worrying about appearance that much. Plus, if you rattle can it and get some runs, fixing it is as easy sanding the runs and painting over it.

Something to consider...
