Fuse Identification
So my truck is missing the owners manual. The lid on the fuse box doesnt label the fuses or what amp to use. And it appears half my fuses are missing.
Im wondering if anyone has a diagram, or a labled picture of the fuse box. Im hoping this is the reason my blinkers dont work. Thanks, -Brian |
I dont, sorry, but it might help to post your vehicle specs to get the best help possible

What vehicle?

Oh yeah... duh :) thanks
The cab is a 1986 SR5 cab. Its on a 1984 Frame. Its a 4X4 Pickup. The fuse box is located under the hood. Not big at all, if i remember correctly it has like 9 or 12 slots for fuses. -Brian |
Not all of the fuse locations will be used, it depends on the options your truck came with. if your truck is an SR5 with alot of options then you will have more fuses than say a base model truck with little to no options.

O.k., I'm back.
This is what my 88 looks like, all those fuses are the correct amp to the best of my knowledge. I was only able to find a grainy bw pic to verify, it appears to be the same. As far as I know all 2nd gen pickups(84-88)have the same fuse boxes. GOOD LUCK finding 7.5 amp fuses, got no reply last time I asked here. I replaced the 15 amp there, but I can't remember if it was the the one for the horn or the one that ended up fixing my turn signal malfunction. Don't really have a clue about the rest, sorry. #1 & #4 are not wired. I don't have A/C or cruise, so there's a couple possible options for those. The open slot below the 80 amp fuse isn't wired and I've no clue about it either. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...A/P1010076.jpg This thread has a pic of the interior (in cab) fuse box cover (labeled) so you'll know what those are. Again, hope you got some spare 7.5 amp fuses. Here:https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f131/86-88-inside-fuse-diagram-118614/ |
Thanks. Yeah I tested the fuses with my tester and none of them seem to be for my blinker. Tested all the fuses located under the dash and couldnt find one there for the blinker either.
Oh well. -Brian |
