I have a 85 extra cab yota. 31 inch tires. Elocker front and rear. What size springs should I get and where from. Good set of shock to? Everyday driver and I trail it too.

With 31's I'd go with stock height John R springs.

I'm new and have just started into my 84 4x4 manual. I need new springs as the stock ones are shot. I have been looking at a set of 3"lifted springs from pro comp but am worried about having to change out any steering components or other attachments. I would like to be able to fit a set of BFGs 33s on it. Can anyone help me with this?

3" is nothing to worry about. kit probably get everything necessary. toys is overbuilt anyway so you got decent leeway. if your worried about steering just run smaller lighter tires until you can beef up. or stockpile everything then do one shot

I have quite a few new "stock" u-bolts,did not know if the spring packs are that much thicker to warrant new u-bolts

I reused my u bolts but got new locking nuts for them. Just sanded them down and painted them and they're good as new

Extended Shackles will provide a little lift(half of what you increase in length, so stock is about 3.5"---if you got to 5.5" shackles it's about 1" extra lift).

Longer shackles would help the ride a bit also. Gives the springs more room to flex. You can re-use the old u-bolts/nuts, but they're cheap enough new that I wouldn't risk it. Just my thoughts....
