85 22re throttle body coolant hoses

I hate posting from my phone, but here goes...

The coolant hoses on my throttle body arent connected to anything and I have no idea where they go... I'm getting that surging idle problem and I'm fairly confidant that it's the culprit...

I haven't been able to find where they go in any manual, I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

All my egr business and unimportant vacuum lines are blocked if that matters

Thanks,
Ryan

Not sure what you mean by the coolant hoses on your throttle body not being connected to anything..? Are they purposely blocked off? One of them should be connected to the thermostat housing and the other one should be connected to a pipe in back of the water pump housing. Sounds like your IAC valve on the throttle body is not even working if you don't have coolant going through it...?

This thread should help, your engine should very similar to my 91' 22RE.

Yep they were purposely blocked off. Buddy who helped me do the efi swap said it wasn't necessary, so I left it... I'm thinking that by having it disconnected that the valve doesn't close at all. All it would have to warm up is warm air...

Right now my idle screw is turned all the way closed and when it's warm it still idles at 1100rpm... I'll take a look at those spots when I get off work. It was originally a carbed motor so that's part of my confusion...

I have been trying to find a coolant hose diagram for the 22RE that shows all the heater hoses and a part number for a long time. Even the FSM does not have this diagram. The linked thread has the best info so far.
