84 truck noise maybe throwout bearing?
so today i took my trip from spring field oregon where my truck was to vancouver about 120 miles first long trip for the truck since motor was built i only had to downshift to 4th once on one hill she cruises very well at 65 any way when i got to town at the first stop light i had the clutch in and i reved a lil and heard a kinda squeel noise that was consistent with the rpm and it does it not all the time but mostly through first and 2nd as soon as i let off the gas it stops and ideas? sorry for my run on sentence

almost thinking its the tranny but idk yet

Does it only do it when the clutch is in or can you rev it up with it out of gear? The throwout bearing is only turning when its making contact with the pressure plate. So it would only squeal when the pedal is pressed.
Did you put a new throwout bearing in when you rebuilt the motor? |
it only when its in gear and i cant remeber if i did or not to be honest which is stupid
|
ill get more info in a min as i have to drive it in a few min to pick up my girlfriend from work

Is the clutch pedal adjusted correctly? It may be too tight and holding the R-bearing against the clutch when it's released, or it might be the pilot bearing? did you install a new clutch? The new motor may be overcoming a used clutch's clamp but you should see the tach. rising along w that . But I'm no expert.
