84 22r runs then dies when warm (No Spark once hot)

i have a 84 reg cab pickup rebuilt engine n carb about a year ago, when out and played in the woods all day then later that night tried to go out again only to have my truck backfire then died... let it set for a little bit and it fired up and ran for another 20 ft or so then died again. rolled it home n swapped out coil, fired right up and ran, almost got it home when it died again... popped hood n let cool off. fired back up and i parked it. now i started looking to find the real problem. swapped dizzy, cap, rotor, plugs, voltage regulator, checked all fuses, checked all grounds, and nothing truck still starts up and drive but when it getts warmed up it backfires and dies... any opinions. going to check internal timing. thinking its off making dizzy run hot and shutting off coil.

Are you getting Gas??

Clogged fuel filter enough flows through pumped into the fuel bowl only to run out

How did you check for spark??

So with a air temperature Engine How long does it run before it quits??

So does your fuel pump turn on right after the shut down? For all we know you might have some dirt clogging your fuel pump from getting more fuel. Like trying to suck mud out of a straw. Or float might be sticking.

Changed out coil. dizzy. Plugs. Found a couple melt alt wires. Probably due to being close to headed. N the tach wire was striped a little could be grounding out it. Will test it out tomorow
