1985 toyota 2wd 22r stumbles after restart
First post, apologize if this is the wrong place. I got a 1985 2wd Toyota DLX extended cab pickup from a buddy that sat in a field for 9 years. I am not much of a mechanic. I replaced the carb with an ebay Aisen clone and the radiator, flushed the gas, changed all the fluids and the truck fired up and idles good. When first started, it runs out pretty well, has a very slight hesitation in the mid range, but drives fine, pulls hills etc. It will stay this way as long as it is driven (40 miles+). However, when turned off and restarted, it usually idles ok but has a horrible miss at mid range - blop, blop, blop-etc, etc with the pedal half down. Flooring it and off it goes fine but as soon as you let off, it is back to stumbling. This seems to get worse the more the floor it to compensate for the stumble. It will sometimes even stall at idle after the stumbles. I have detached and plugged most of the vacuum lines one at a time and have not seen any difference. Float window appears a little high and then goes to middle when it is floored and clears out.
Any ideas would be appreciated, Thx Jack
