weber vs aisin

does a weber carb really offer more power and performance and better gas mileage than a stock aisin carb or is it just a different carb to run on our trucks. I have a stock carb on my 22R and I was thinking about throwing a weber on it but I want to know if it really makes a difference and is worth it?

I noticed some differnace with mine with my weber over stock... now it uses more gas but has more power. guess you cant have one with out the other right.

ive noticed an increase in power, but my webber looks at a steep incline and stalls out...

I think it depends if your engine is worn out vs rebuilt with mods. My gas mileage dropped right off when i threw on my weber 38. I can get maybe 220km to 40liters but i dont drive it easy thats for sure. I needed to put an electric fuel pump as a booster since the mechanical pump could keep up past 5000rpm at 3psi.

The carb didnt come ready to just bolt in, i port-matched the carb adaptors to the intake so it was perfect. Then i had to spend days re-jetting this bugger but is flawless now and run great offroad. Have to make sure to have a fuel pressure regulator set max at 3psi or gas will blow by the needle.

But i would never go back to the stock carb now. In the cold this starts up everytime with 1 pump off the gas. Power and throttle response is great over the stocker.

32/36 weber

i wouldn't know any of this. i have put my weber on and the throttle mech grinds on the adapt. plates. anybody have a way of getting rid of that? also the throttle cable seems a little too short. in order to hook it up the carb is opened about 1/4 to 1/3

If you got a kit with carb it should have came with all the linkage spacers... theres 2 half inch spacers that go under the linkage setup to space it from the intake manifold. Well thats how the 38 is and dont over tighten any of the linkages
