Support bed by the hooks?
 

Hello, new member first post. I just got a 1983 4X4. It's in really solid shape. I'm going to remove the bed off of the truck to do some cleaning and detail work. Is it ok to use the 4 hooks on the bed? Do I need to leave the tailgate in if using the hooks?

I did it on my long bed with no problems. Just make sure the tailgate is closed.
