If the 4Runner Owners Only Club is successful and people really find it helps to have it in addition to the Second Gen Tech area, then maybe a 79-83 area is a good idea.

I'll check it out.
Yeah, me too, I was just scouting the site before I really got involved and stumbled across it. It's in one of the clubs areas.
I always wanted a First-Gen club, and this tech area comes close enough for me!

I gotcha Suncomb, it would be cool to have it all in one place.

I'm down with this post...

If there was a section in YotaTech that was exclusively for owners of these vehicles that combined tech, classifieds, parts sources, vendors, etc. in one area it would provide a faster way for members to obtain the information they are looking for. YotaTech is the best Toyota WEB site period but I thought maybe this idea would be great for First generation truck owners.

Yeah, I have an '83 with 31's and 5th is nice to have on the highway. I believe Cman went form 33's to 31's? Or did you just go from MT's to AT's? Can't remeber. What's your take?

Most anyone on this topic says the same thing of 5th and 33's or bigger, useless.

5th is great in mine with 35's, but I'm geared to 5.29's.
