Need help trouble shooting weber 32/36 22r

Aloha from Hawaii,

Has a recent problem start this past weekend with my truck during cold start. We had a big downpour of rain the night before ( don't know if it caused it). But, the next morning I started it up and it sounds like crap. Rough idle, missing at least one cylinder, no smoke out the exhaust. Just sounds horrible like it may die. It runs like that until warm and then it's top shape. I got a weber 32/36 carb. I believe the po bypassed the choke as the plates are always open. Until now it was starting fine and warming up nicely. Any ideas on what it may be? It runs awesome after warm up so at least I can still drive but the cold start is disgusting me.

get the choke working. Critical to warm up till fuel can atomize properly from engine heat.

Same rough cold start going on. Idles good after engine temp heats up but I notice a slight intermittent stumble now even after it's hot. Is there a part on the carburetor that switches when the engine heats up? Figure the problem lies with that part when's it cold.

Check under your distributor cap for condensation and/or corrosion, check your spark plugs and distributor wire connections as well, corrosion can make a ton of problems. Check your Eng-frame-body grounds too. As for anything that switches in the carb when warm, only the choke to the off position. You might check the temp sensor that controls the choke, and the choke settings when cold and hot, also make sure the butterflies move smoothly and are not binding, or flopping around aimlessly (they should be controlled by the chokes spring)
. Make sure you don't have any cracked vacuum lines, and that the spacer under the carb is leak free. Some starting fluid spray will help find air leaks, RPM's will get a pep from the fluid if a leak is found.
(I re-read you post) - If the PO bypassed the choke, then as Hilux noted, you will want to get that working prior to trouble shooting other areas. Although the areas I mentioned are critical to healthy engine performance, the starting procedure when cold includes a properly operating choke.

My 22r has a 32/36 new fuel pump, regulator , no vacum leaks, manual choke high idle kicks on good timing is correct runs great all the te except for initial start after sitting for more then 5 hours, starts then dies about 5 times before it will stay running sounds like its running out of fuel....

Could be that the fuel bowl is either flooding, or is running dry (leak?)
If it's flooding, then suspect the little needle that blocks fuel from entering when the bowl is full.
If Dry, you might have a crack in the bowl, or someplace where the gas is weaping out.
- Does it smell like gas before you start it?

No fuel smell, I can hear a small hiss after I turn it off after running it, the carb is not hot after a long drive so its not boiling the fuel out, is there a check ball that could be leaking?
