need advice about potential purchase...

Hello all,
I am new to the board and I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

I am very much in love with a '77 hilux my friends father has it for sale, his father father purchased the truck brand new and when he died his father inherited it and did a small amount of resto (paint, chrome, powder coat on bumpers and wheels, new seat covers, tires, dash, spray on bedliner). He had it listed for $3500 but is willing to part with it for $3K. Is that outrageous? I looked up the value on NADA and thats not outside of the clean retail range, but it seems kinda high to me, the truck is beautiful and is exactly what I am looking for, so I and strongly considering the purchase. So what do you think?

Also, do you think it'd make a good DD, what type of highway speed can it comfortably hold? I am hesitant about the 4sp transmission cruise speed. Thanks!!!!

my dad has a stock 81 he brought bran new when he was younger i drive it when my truck is out of commish. The highway is not bad i had to drive it 45min to and from work at about 60 on stock sized tires w a 22r and 4 speed it did just fine. Just might need to replace the wheel bearings and seals. cause if that was never done it should be before u start driven her every day. not a bad price if its in real good condition(really good condition)
