Well, i will definately take that advice to get a parts cleaner before i start. I think thats pretty good that the clutch ended up being pretty much new. Same with the timing. Hope my timing is good, its only 6 months old.

As far as with the carb, I have barely any experience with truck carbs. I could rebuild on and adj one on a dirtbike all day long, but not a truck. Mine needs to be cleaned up really good and rebuilt. The rebuild kits only cost about 40-50 bucks with a huge thing of instructions. I am going to attempt it after my eng rebuild.

With the battery problem.. You are able to test the alternator with the voltimeter, dont remember which setting or anything. You can test that and the battery. If you cant figure it out, jump it, take it to auto zone and then have them bring out their machine! They will let you know exactly whats wrong with it. Its a quick and cheap fix.

let me know what you come up with.

I paid $500 which I think was a decent deal. They are in fairly high demand in CO so it is rare to even see them for sale.

Any help on the alternator wiring? I figured out that the green plug on the alternator side is a 6 pin and the regulator plug is a 5 pin, I'm guessing that is why the wiring is all spliced. Anyone know how the wiring should be? (I'm thinking I could just buy a 6 pin regulator and fix the wiring to where it should be)
