So I just bought this poor guy from a salvage auction near me with only 46,532 miles on it. 4x4 long bed.









It is super clean besides the obvious wreck damage. I plan on rebuilding and already have a line on a donor front clip. Mostly I would like to get some input on what direction I should go with the build. Let me know what you guys think?

Oh dear, that is a lot of damage!

The first thing I would do is get the frame alignment checked and see what frame damage it might have.

It looks like most of the body panels have shifted around too.

I am always for a complete restoration, but that would take a lot of work (and a lot of $$ too).

So I looked over it a little better today and it looks like the motor shifted a little bit on the mounts and the driver side front wheel is tilted out a bit like it has positive camber. I do happen to have a complete rolling frame for a 79 short bed for another project that I am contemplating putting this guy on.

There's also no way to know whether that's 46,000 or 146,000 or...

That'll be a project, that's for sure!

Yeah I can guarantee that 46,000 should have at least a 1 or even a 2 in front of it. I say part out the interior and every useable piece via eBay and keep on keepin on.

Or take off all the body panels, build a cage and go crawling.

146k minimum based on the rust etc.
at least you got a decent set of door panels, some dash pieces (the speaker holes being fubar'ed sucks) and rear fender flares

Yep, aside from the dash pad, that interior looks great. You'd definitely have buyers for it if you decided to sell.
