iDLE ISSUE Shes got a cold?

So My truck has ran very well since I purchased it a few weeks ago. It had a slight miss so I gave her a full tune up on day two. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil change vc gasket and valve adjugstment. She was running great but still had a slight miss at idle.

Last weekend I put a new tranny in her the old one was makin some noise and the input seal started puking bad!! so why not put a good tranny in and a new clutch kit. I get everything installed and start her up to check all the gears. She starts right up fast idle I checked all the gears in the garage and then shut her down to clean up tools.

Test drive time! I start her up and let her warm. As soon as I hit the throttle to kick the idle down she starts sputtering and stumbling with a strong fuel smell out of exhaust. low idle right about 450-500 rpm.
It never stalls but it idles like crap.
I checked all the vac lines and sprayed everything with carb clean. no change. I have read all the threads on here and still dont really have another idea. Help!?:dunno:

Gas smell=running rich. Check to make sure the float in the carb isnt stuck. Is it a stock Aisin or a Weber carb??

The carb is stock. I know its dumping extra fuel but wouldnt a sticking float affect accell also? I am going to pull the plugs and see how black they are. Secondary accell diaphrams are known to leak fuel and cause this issue but the vac hose is dry!?! I have checked all the ports and hoses and the base gaskets I dont see an leaks vac or fuel. Its deff a carb/vac issue what about the throttle solenoid?

Maybe it's a simple adjustment of the idle screws? 450-500 RPM is too low for warm idle, you should be at least 700 RPM. Check out this 22R Carburetor FAQ for instructions on how to adjust idle and mixture screws, fixed a similar problem on mine (as well as rebuilding the carb).
