how do I block the water choke on 20r intake manifold?
Im installing a weber on 1980 20r. I am using a LCE plug kit they suggested for desmogging, as well as an EGR delete plate kit. The desmog manifold bolts work fine and I was quickly removing vacuum hoses and plugging the holes. Everything was going fine until I find two hoses coming out of the intake manifold with radiator coolant. It is apperently for a water choke. (My Weber is Manual Choke) I do not see these two hoses in any of the instructions or the 22r desmog sticky here on yotatech or in any of the LCE videos.
I looked at pictures of these manifolds that are for sale used, and see some of them come with a square end plug that bolts into the hole. Where would I get these bolts? Or is there a different way to block off the two coolant hoses? TIA

To the best of my knowledge, the coolant outlet on the plate on the underside of the intake manifold feeds your heater core. There should be two other coolant ports that feed the water choke. The simplest way to take care of this is to run a heater hose as a bypass on the two water choke ports. Toyota got rid of the water choke when they went to the 22R, using an electric choke instead. That's why you didn't see the water choke hoses mentioned in your instructions, which are 22R specific..
LCE does have a block-off option for the heater core outlet https://www.lceperformance.com/Water...-p/1032032.htm but apparently it only fits an aftermarket intake called a "Cannon" https://www.lceperformance.com/Downd...-p/1032054.htm More $.
If you want to keep the stock intake manifold I guess you could also bypass the heater core with another length of hose, or cap them off with some bypass caps:

$5 a pair at most parts stores but will require hose clamps to make sure they stay on. I personally would just go the hose route.
