High crossover steering requires at least 3" of lift.

So if you have that then you need a high steer kit, ps pump etc, idler bracket etc, IFS box and mount etc.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Couldn't he just get a custom made draglink? One that is shorter to compensate for no lift?

With ni lift, you could swap in a stock '79-'85 push-pull steering box. You need about 3" of lift for crossover steering to make room for the drag link to pass between the frame and springs. I ran ~3" lift with my '85 and it was tight fit adjusting the drag link to not hit the passenger side spring under full droop and yet stay off the frame at full compression. You might be able to notch the frame for less lift and/or run a Jeep style drag link where is runs down to connect the the tie rod under the springs.

You need the steering shaft as well, it's an inch shorter than the non p/s one.

It takes about 2 hours to swap the manual steering box for a factory power setup. Everything bolts right up - no drilling or fab required. You will need the factory PS belt pulleys, too.
